Fire in Stratford Sends 3 to Hospital

Firefighters aided by wind and fire hydrant cleared off of snow when they arrived

A fire ripped through a home in Stratford yesterday which has sent 3 to hospital.

A semi-detached home on Borden Street suffered extensive damage as around 20 firefighters were on the scene fighting off the blaze. It’s believed to have started in the kitchen on the main floor of the home.

The call came in at 11:19am with the house fully engulfed in flames shortly after. Alongside firefighters, Perth County paramedics and Stratford police were on the scene.

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted but could be a few days before officials arrive. Firefighters were aided from wind as well as a fire hydrant which was cleared off of snow.
