The Stratford Fire Department was called out on Tuesday for a small fire at the former Krug property site.
The fire department says the fire was in a hopper with contractors prepping a metal hopper for removal by cutting it out with torches when the wall of the hopper ignited and caught fire.
Contractors reacted and used extinguishers on the site.
Fire Chief Neil Anderson says some items such as chip and saw dust around the hopper caught fire.
The blaze was contained with no injuries.
