St Marys had two fire chiefs for a day on October 27th.
Fire Chief Richard Anderson shared the role with six year Finn Reid who was the recent winner of Fire Prevention Week’s colouring contest.
Finn was awarded the full experience of being a fire chief for a day, touring the hall, trying on bunker gear and taking a ride in a pumper fire truck while meeting with Perth County paramedics.
Finn was given a Fire Chief for a Day certificate, a white fire chief helmet and a bag full of fire prevention items.
Richard Anderson says they hope to have more visit the fire hall when it becomes safe to do so.
