Downtown Fergus will be much brighter this season with the help of grant funding.
The township was given $88,000 from the My Main Street Program which is delivered by the Government of Canada by FedDev Ontario to spur more local economy growth.
Three initiatives are going to be tackled including installing downtown lighting, increasing the number of Twilight in Templin concerts and boost night markets such as a Sip and Shop and Witches Night Out.
