The Federal Government announced today that they are making being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 mandatory for federally regulated industries.
This move means around a half million workers who work directly for the Federal Government, a Crown Corporation, the Military and the RCMP must be fully vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
Also covered include federally regulated industries such as banks and airlines.
The decision was announced by Dominic LeBlanc, President of the Privy Council.
Prime Minister Trudeau had indicated last week that he had made the request to consider the vaccine mandate.
Further to that Transportation Minister Omar Alghabra says that by the fall being vaccinated will be a must for transportation workers as well.
