On Sunday at approximately 9:50pm Wellington County OPP responded along with Centre Wellington Fire and Guelph Wellington Paramedics to a serious two vehicle collision on Wellington Road 21 near the Eighth Line of Centre Wellington Township.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a coupe was travelling westbound on Wellington Road 21 when it collided with an eastbound SUV.
A 25 year old male passenger of the couple was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two other occupants from the same vehicle were transported to a trauma hospital with serious injuries. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by the Wellington County OPP and the Technical Collision Investigators. Wellington Road 21 remains closed between the Eighth Line and Sixth Line for investigation.
