The family of Lucas Shortreed is inviting all in the community to gather at Graham Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus on Thanksgiving Day, October 10th.
Shortreed was killed in a hit and run 14 years ago with two Wellington North residents arrested in Mapleton last week.
The gathering at the funeral home is to have the community come together and heal together.
Community members are welcome to attend, offer their respects and visit the funeral home.
In an event posted over Facebook the family of Lucas is sharing their love alongside the community of Centre Wellington.
