High school students are being encouraged to get involved with the Town of Erin’s Mayor for a Day contest.
Those who are interested in seeing how local government works, shadow the Mayor at a council meeting and see the ins and outs of local government are open to apply.
Students in grades 9-12, living or studying in Erin are welcome to apply by submitting a short essay with a maximum of 750 words or create a YouTube video answering one of two questions, why do you want to be Mayor for the day or what two ideas, either programs or policies do you have to improve the town.
The challenge is open until December 15th.
