On December 30th at approximately 10:30pm a Wellington County OPP officer stopped the driver of a red passenger vehicle on Wellington Road 124 near Wellington Road 27 in Brucedale.
While speaking with the driver, police determined that their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
A 26 year old male of the Town of Erin has been charged with impaired operation 80 plus and impaired operations alcohol and drug contrary to the criminal code.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on January 22nd to answer to charges.
A 90 day license suspension and a 7 day vehicle impounded were initiated.
