On Tuesday, July 20th the OPP Huron Perth Community Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Grey Bruce Street Crime, WEllington Street Crime and Perth County OPP and West Region Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence in North Perth.
As a result of the warrant, police seized drugs, cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia and property.
The warrant was executed at a residence on Inkerman Street East in Listowel where 2 people were arrested.
As a result of the investigation police seized cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone pills, psilocybin, LSD, cannabis, marijuana and cannabis resin.
The estimated combined street value of the controlled drugs and substances was over $13,000.
Police also seized cash, offence related property consisting of drug trafficking paraphernalia and property including a motorcycle with a total value of over $30,000.
A 49 year old male of Listowel has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for Trafficking- Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance (two counts)
A 48 year old female of Listowel has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for Trafficking- Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance (two counts)
- Possession for the purpose of distributing
Both of the accused persons have been released from custody and are schedule to appear at the Stratford Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charges.
