For the first time, the Drayton-Mapleton Agricultural Society will be holding a Junior Ambassador competition this year.
Five participants will be taking part for the title during a competition next week on August 6th at the Drayton Agricultural Hall.
The ambassador will be present over the Drayton Fair weekend which runs from August 9th-11th.
Speeches for the competition will start at 6:30pm with an ambassador being crowned the same night.
There is no plans to have a senior ambassador this year but the agricultural society is looking to expand in the future.
