Domestic Incident leads to firearms & asssault charges in North Perth

Methamphetamine was found at site of a search warrant executed by Police

 

A North Perth resident is facing numerous charges including firearms and assault charges following a domestic incident last weekend.

On January 10th just after 11:30pm Perth County OPP responded to an assault that had just occurred in Listowel.

During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect had also uttered threats of death, and had been in possession of a firearm.

On January 11th the Huron Perth Community Street Crime Unit, along with the Perth County OPP, executed a search warrant at a residence on Elizabeth Street East in Listowel for evidence of the offences.

During the search , methamphetamine was also located.

As a result a 31 year old North Perth resident has been charged with uttering threats – causing death or bodily harm, spousal assault, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine.

The accused was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
