Domestic Assault Investigation Leads to a Dozen Charges Against Howick Man

Investigation resulted in numerous domestic related offences bein disclosed by the victim in addition to police seizing a firearm that was stored in an unsafe manner.

 

The Huron County OPP say a Howick resident remains in custody on numerous charges following a domestic violence investigation by Police earlier this week.

On Monday, officers responded to a residence on Fordwich Line after receive a report of domestic violence taking place at the residence.

An investigation resulted and numerous domestic related offences were disclosed by the victim. Further a resulting search resulted in police seizing a firearm that was stored in an unsafe manner.

A 55 year old of Howick has been charged with:

  • 2 counts of assault with a weapon
  • Mischief
  • 2 counts of uttering threats
  • 2 counts of ailing to comply with a probation order
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • possession of a firearm despite being prohibited
  • 2 counts of failing to comply with release conditions

The accused remains in custody.
