A distracted driver who blew through an intersection was not injured after crashing into a forested area.
On August 2nd at around 4am, Wellington County OPP were called to a vehicle crash at a T-Intersection of Jones Baseline and Eastview Road in Guelph-Eramosa with the vehicle found lodged nearby in the forested area.
It was determined the driver was distracted and rapidly entered the intersection with no regard for other driers or stop signs and crashed.
Chainsaws were needed to free the vehicle with no injuries reported.
An 18 year old of Acton was charged with Careless Driving and Driving with a Handheld Device.
