A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over by Huron Perth Public Health.
The outbreak was first ruled on September 27th on the Inpatient Unit of the hospital.
The unit has since reopened to admissions and transfers with family and caregiver presence also being restored to the inpatient unit.
Erica Jensen, Manager of Quality, Patient Safety and Infection Control says while the outbreak is over they can’t stress enough the importance of layering up to protect others from COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses circulating across Huron Perth.
