The Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the medicine unit at the Stratford General Hospital.
The outbreak h as been declared after two or more cases of COVID-19 among patients or team members have been acquired in the hospital.
Due to the outbreak, the medicine unit has been closed to admissions until further notice.
Family and Caregiver Presence on the unit has been restricted with those visiting patients in the area to follow posted instructions and limit their interactions to one visit per patient per day.
An exception is given to palliative patients at the end of life.
