Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance has declared a Covid-19 outbreak on the Inpatient Unit at St. Marys Memorial Hospital.
The number of active cases wasn’t confirmed but an outbreak is declared with two or more confirmed positive cases among patients or staff.
The unit is now closed to admissions until further notice. HPPH is working in collaboration with HPHA, family, caregivers and staff affected by the outbreak are in the process of being notified.
Family and caregiver presence in the unit, including outdoor visits, has been restricted.
The only exception is for palliative patients at end of life.
