The Town of Minto shared word today of the setup of the municipal water system. Councilors in Minto are considered stewards of the water infrastructure.

This means that they must exercise the level of care, diligence and skill in respect to the drinking water system that is owned by the municipality.

It comes under Section 19 of the Safe Drinking Water Act passed in 2002.

Each year reports are provided to Council about the water systems performance in the previous year.
