Given the election yesterday, North Perth council opted to instead have a meeting today and its expected a discussion on a Rural Transit Solutions grant funding application will be reviewed.
Last year, staff submitted an application under the Infrastructure Canada’s Rural Transit Solutions Fund to look into a public transit needs assessment for North Perth and St Marys.
The application was successful to the tune of $50,000.
A public transit needs assessment is being done to collect and analyze data and the input to support future planning of rural transit solutions in North Perth and St Marys.
