Minto Pride says they are very pleased with the level of support they are receiving from council.
Minto council approved at their Tuesday meeting a new project to work alongside Pride to hang new banners every year from May-September at the entrances to all three downtowns.
Brayden Scott, Chair of the Minto Pride Committee says having the inclusion in June is welcome but they see a need for a more permanent representation in Minto.
“The committee will still continue to decorate the poll wraps for the month of June however we desperately see a need for more permanent installations across the Town of Minto” said Scott.
Mayor Dave Turton says its unfortunate every year to see pride banners go up only for them to be vandalized and they do not have enough surveillance to catch those who are responsible.
