Mapleton council has approved to provide funding up to $450,000 for a road to connect Conestoga Drive to Green Street in Drayton.
The funding was approved on August 13th with the road to help support a new catholic school in Drayton.
This comes after MPP Matthew Rae announced $17.3 million in funding for the new catholic school which will host 222 students from kindergarten to grade 8 with 64 childcare spaces.
The new school is expected to open in 2026 and serve students from Mapleton and Minto.
