The cost of paying local politicians in Minto dropped more than $17,000 last year.
The report of expenses paid to politicians between December 1st 2019 to November 30th 2020 totaled $148,770 compared to $166,464 the previous year.
The report suggests the drop is a result of limited travel brought on by the pandemic and also saw a drop in learning and training opportunities due to a lack of events and workshops. Limited travel had politicians doing events virtual rather than being in person for said events.
