Corey Conners achieves lowest round of career Saturday

Conners shot a 62 and currently sits 4 shots off the lead

 

In a day when the average score at the Northern Trust was a 68.3, Listowel’s Corey Conners achieved a career best lowest round of 62.

He had an eagle and birdied 9 holes. He is currently 4 shots off the lead at 12 under.

It was a day when Justin Thomas and Tony Finau both shot 68 and were tied for 4th at 14 under.

Currently Co-Leader Camera Smith missed out on a change for 59 after missing a 12 foot birdie putt and finished with an 11 under 60. Jon Rahm is also 1st after having a string of birdied but ran into difficulty by twice hit into the water. They sit at 16 under.

The Northern Trust has been cancelled for Sunday due to Hurricane Henri and is scheduled to resume Monday likely with threesomes playing of both tees.
