The Coldest Night of the Year walk is quickly approaching, some even already taking part right now.
The event is to get residents outside in the cold and experience just what those without a home regularly face on a daily basis during the winter months. Shelly Blackmoore, Chair of the North Perth Community Committee for United Way Perth-Huron explains all about the cold walk.
“The Coldest Night of the Year Walk is a COVID safe family friendly walk. It helps raise money for charities that serve people who experience homelessness, hurt and hunger.” said Blackmore
Funds will be raised to help support youth through intervention counseling and community support for homeless youth as well as United Way Perth-Hurons Urgent Needs fund.
