CMV Stop in Alma Results in Multiple Charges

A 60 year old is facing a list of charges after a Commercial Motor Vehicle Stop.

On May 8th at around 10:30am, Wellington County OPP stopped a CMV on Simpson Street East in Alma.

As a result of investigation a 60 year old of Georgian Bluffs has been hit multiple charges including;

  • Overweight vehicle – violate permit
  • Draw trailer, no identification number
  • Operate vehicle – fail to display inspection sticker or proof

Additionally, the accused was also given warnings under the Highway Traffic Act for:

  • Operate commercial motor vehicle – no valid CVOR certificate
  • Operate vehicle – fail to display inspection sticker or proof
  • Fail to surrender inspection schedule
  • Fail to surrender completed daily inspection report
  • Improper means of attachment – commercial motor vehicle
  • Fail to surrender permit for trailer
