A commercial motor vehicle blitz by Wellington County OPP on Tuesday resulted in a series of infractions against drivers.
The CMV blitz was held to ensure the safety of all commercial motor vehicles on the roadways and over the 8 hours, 12 CMV’s were looked at.
– 1 vehicle was placed out of service for a variety of defects (Including 6 out of the 10 brakes not functioning properly).
– 5 Seatbelt infractions
– 2 Cell phone infractions
– 3 Moving infractions; including stop signs and signaling
– 2 Vehicles on a no truck route
– 8 Other infractions; including documentation, administrative, and vehicle maintenance
– 21 additional warns
Police are reminding drivers to always make sure of the safety of their vehicle before driving and following the rules of the road.
