The Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo Wellington announced at their groundbreaking of the Centre for Children’s Mental Health and Developmental Services building that they have received the largest ever single donation to support mental health.

The donation of  the building estimated at $50 million dollars was by the Developer and owner of the building the Vesterra Group of Companies. They are donating the building of the location as an investment in the community and children’s mental health.

The facility located at 737 Woolwich Street North in Guelph will feature a variety of services for children from 0 to 26 years of age including children and youth crisis support, youth outreach, service coordination, mental health support in child care and early years, child psychiatry, family support, development supper and walk-in services for children, youth and families.

The site will also be home to the Guelph location of the IYSN. It as well as other Integrated Youth Service Network sites across the Wellington County Region will adopt the name of The Grove.

The Grove Hub sites are modelled as a one-stop shop service hub addressing the needs of youth related to mental health, community and social services. 3 already operate around Wellington County.
