The City of Stratford is urging residents to stay alert when it comes to dealing with door to door salespeople.
The city in a statement says while some might be conducting legitimate business, others might attempt to pressure homeowners into signing contracts, sharing personal information or purchasing unnecessary services.
Those who are trying to sell door to door in Stratford are required to have a license from the City’s Clerks Department before they can go about. Residents are reminded to ask salespeople for their ID, never feel rushed and always keep your personal info private.
