Police have laid a series of charges against a 31 year old following an incident last Thursday.
At approximately 11:05am Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of a disturbance on Victoria Street in Meaford. Officers were informed that the alleged suspect had a weapon and was screaming and yelling on the street and being confrontational with other residents.
Police arrived and placed the 31 year old Meaford resident under arrest, during which time an officer was allegedly assaulted.
The accused faces charges of assaulting a peace officer, forcible confinement, 3 counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and 3 counts of failure to comply with a release order.
The accused was held for a bail hearing on Monday at an Owen Sound Court.
