Last February, Andrea Charest from It Takes a Village and OPP Sergeant Manny Coehlo spent 24 hours outside the North Perth Public Library in Listowel.
The goal was to help raise awareness and at least $2400, but saw their goal soar way over $30,000.
Both were recently recognized for their effort in the campaign with a regional commander’s letter, presented by OPP Acting Inspector, Wendy Burrow.
Charest said she was truly grateful to receive the letter as plans are already underway for the 2nd year of the This is Home campaign.
