With cooler weather creeping in more and more each day Centre Wellington Fire & Rescue shared reminders to keep everyone safe.

They say with patio heaters on things such as restaurant patios on the rise they remind that they shouldn’t be moved while the flame is lit, they shouldn’t be positioned near exits or fire escapes, they should never be left unattended and always follow the manufacturers instructions to ensure safe operation.

They also should never be used in tents or any other enclosed or partially enclosed area and need to be safe distances from fire hazards.
