Wellington OPP say they caught a thief red handed on Monday.
They received a call about a theft in progress at an address in Wellington Road 29 East of Fergus.
Police arrived and found a 32 year old man helping himself to scrap metal.
He was charged with theft under $5,000 and released with a November 3rd court date.
