Bill C-234, an act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act has been adopted by the House of Commons.
The Bill first introduced by Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb is to exempt farm fuels such as natural gas, gasoline, light fuel and propane used on the farms to produce food both domestically and internationally.
Having passed its third reading and be adopted by the House. Bill C-234 now heads to the Senate for its series of readings to become law.
MP Lobb says he is grateful for his colleagues who voted in favour of the important piece of legislation that will support Canadian farmers who put food on our tables.
