The Downtown Stratford BIA is encouraging residents once again this year to spend a day going car free and enjoy a morning on foot or on your bike.
Car Free Friday is back in the city on June 3rd, acting as a community celebration to promote cycling, walking, rolling and public transit as health, sustainable and an enjoyable way to get around Stratford.
The day is complete with several organizations being on site in Market Square including free bike tune ups from Ross’ Bikeworks and Constable Darren Fisher providing free Project 529 bike registration services.
World Bicycle Day celebrates the bike as a simple, affordable, reliable and environmentally sustainable mode of transportation which has changed lives and communities for generations.
