The Federal government made an announcement extending the rent subsidy program for businesses.
The Canadian Emergency Rent Subsidy program has been available since October 9th and was retroactive to September 27th. The recent announcement extends the program beyond the first 12 weeks of the program or December 19th.
The expenses a business can use to offset their reduced income include property taxes, insurance and interest on mortgages.
