Canada’s premiers are looking to meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau prior to the throne speech to discuss the increase of Ottawa’s share in cost for health care.

British Columbia Premier John Horgan says publicly funded health care is the provincial and territorial leaders priority as a fundamental part of Canadian society.

The First Ministers held a post election phone call yesterday where discussion of the need for the federal government to provide 35 per cent of costs through the Canada Health Transfer, up from the current 22 per cent.
