Bruce Power’s Supplier Partners in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday made a $50,000 donation to a Youth Leaders in Training Program.

The program run by the Saugeen Ojibway Nation helps youth aged 14 to 24 develop their leadership skills like self confidence, effective communication, creative planning and conducting workshops and events.

Greg Nadjiwon Chief of Chippewas of Nawash says the Leader in Training Program wouldn’t be possible without the support of his community, Bruce Power and their supplier partners.

More than 30 Bruce Power Suppliers supported the program, which will donate over half a million dollars to these type of initiatives this year.
