The Municipality of Brockton is currently looking to fill one vacancy on Council until the end of the current term on November 14th.

To be considered for appointment the prospective applicant must reside in or be tenants of land in the area or spouse of such owner or tenant, be a Canadian citizen, 18 years or older and not be prohibited from voting.

Those interested in the position need to submit required documents to the Clerk’s Office by 2 pm on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.

The vacancy arose after the resignation of Councillor Carl Kunhke and his seat was declared vacant in November.

Currently there are 2 prospective applicants who have applied to fill the vacancy.

There will be a chance for the interested parties to speak to Council in mid-to-late January in support of their application to fill the role.
