After a review, the Township of Centre Wellington has chosen to not permit “Bring Your Own” alcohol events.
New provincial regulations took effect on April 30th which allowed for these type of events but still needed to be permitted by councils in the province of which Centre Wellington has decided against to keep events safe, manageable and supportive of the local business community.
The township says events can still serve alcohol so long as they have the proper permits but personal alcohol will not be allowed in public spaces or at events in Centre Wellington.
