Mapleton Fire Rescue has named Brad Bigrigg as the interim fire chief.
Bigrigg is currently deputy chief with Puslinch Fire and approved to be interim chief with Mapleton Fire at a council meeting on August 8th.
Bigrigg brings in nearly 40 years of fire service experience who had also served the role as interim chief for Puslinch Fire in August 2021 when Luis Gomes retired as chief.
Bigrigg was interim chief for Puslinch until June 2022 when Tom Mulvey was named fire chief for Puslinch and Centre Wellington.
