Newton’s Blake Brubacher will be representing Team Canada for the U18 Pan American Championship in Columbia.

While getting the chance to represent Newton and his country on an international stage, Brubacher is responsible for his own costs for travel and equipment.

To help support Brubacher, a GoFundMe has been setup to cover some costs.

Jen Vaughan, Blakes mother says he’ll be leaving for Toronto soon for training and then head out to Columbia and any amount of help is appreciated.

The U18 Pan AM Men’s Championship gets underway from September 3rd-9th.

Other locals named to Team Canada include Winghams Riley Good, Nolan Bultena of Arthur and Stratford’s Daniel Scott.

If the men’s team manages to finish within the top 4 in Columbia they’ll advance to the Worlds taking place in Mexico from November 11th-19th.
