St. Marys Municipal Election Barry Charles Brebner has provided a response to the press release issued by Stratford-Perth Pride on Sunday.
In the release the organization had characterized a response he had provided to a requested pledge in support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Pride characterized the response as homophobia & trans phobic.
In the original message he sent to Stratford-Perth Pride he said God considers homosexuality sinful and he does as well.
He compares it unacceptable acts such as pedophilia, adultery, theft, lying, coveting, and murder.
He finished by saying he loves people, but said it doesn’t mean he loves, supports, promotes, or encourages the sin they are caught up in.
Mr. Brebner said in his response to the Ranch says that he is not a hate-filled person at all, and that he stands with people, for people, and he tries to speak the truth.
