Barrie Resident Facing Slew of Charges After Speeding

Accused to appear in Guelph court

On July 31st, at around 11:30am, a Wellington County OPP officer noticed a motor vehicle driving well beyond the posted speed limit on Highway 89.

The officer stopped the vehicle, resulting in the 21 year old from Barrie being charged with a slew of offenses including Stunt Driving, Possession of More than One License, Failing to Stop for Police and Driving with an Open Container of Liquor.

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, the license suspended for 30 days. The accused will appear in Guelph court at a later date.
