The Aussie Steelers baseball team is coming to Milverton later this month.
The community is opening their doors to the team as they train and take part in exhibition play from June 26th-July 5th.
This trip will be the 5th visit by the Aussies team to Milverton with it being more than 7 years since an Aussie team has visited the town.
Milverton was home to former head coach of the Steelers, Bob Harrow who was an active member in women’s softball in Milverton before he moved to Australia.
Both of his sons Laing and Mike were part of the national team over their careers with Laing’s son Matt now being a current member.
The team will be playing in the Peter Hallman Memorial Tournament from July 27th-29th and take part in exhibition games from teams in Milverton and Brussels from June 30th-July 3rd.
