The snow which is sticking around and more consistent cold weather may have you looking to lace up your skates and hit some outdoor rinks but the Atwood Lions say to just put those plans on pause for the time being.
The Lions say their rink remains closed as work continues to have the ice ready now with weather cold enough to freeze layers of water.
It takes around 20 floods to have the required amount of ice to open up.
The Lions add those who try out the ice early can delay its opening if they break through the ice.
