The North Perth & District ATV Club will still be working closely with council and staff despite a request to have a section of the North Perth Trail system to have ATV’s be denied.
Earlier this week, council following a report from staff denied the request which was at the forefront of discussion for the last several months.
Shawn Thompson, President of the North Perth & District ATV Club says he respects the decision from council and the concerns raised by the public saying all issues raised were fair.
Thompson says for those looking to find local trails to ride on, it’s pretty simple to do.
“The Huron Shores ATV Club. You can actually get from Listowel to the head of their trail, you can leave Listowel on your machine and get there in about 35 minutes.” said Thompson.
Thompson adds the club will be working with North Perth staff to have Share the Road signs setup with the club still continuing to do their series of volunteer work across the community.
