AGCO Suspends Standardbred Trainer and Driver for 10 Years

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has suspended Standardbred trainer Richard Moreau and driver Sylvain Filion for 10 years while also being fined $40,000 for violated the AGCO’s Rules of Standardbred Racing.

The AGCO confirmed the presence of the non therapeutic drug DPO for the horse Funtime Bayama collected on June 10th as part of the out of competition testing program.

For this violation Moreau has been suspended for 10 years until July 23rd 2034 with Filion also suspended for 10 years until October 31st 2034.

Any horses owned by either are ineligible to be entered to race during the suspension as well as any horses trained by Moreau or Filion but may still be released or sold to another trainer if approved by AGCO race officials.
