35 new personal support worker candidates have graduated from the highly successful Living Classroom with the Upper Grand District School Board.
The immersive 38 week educational journet has been built to deal with the growing demand for frontline healthcare professionals.
Students were directly put into real care settings at Wellington Terrace and the St Joseph’s Health Centre working with veteran healthcare workers.
Students completed 330 hours of clinical placement while earning vital certifications.
The school board says by stepping up to the fill these vital roles, the grads are entering the workforce fully prepared from day one to deliver exceptional care.
