Ava Fitzgerald from Goderich District Collegiate Institute and Ryan Regier of South Huron District High School in Exeter have been named as Loran Scholarship finalists, each receiving an award valued at $100,000 over four years.
The scholarship is the country’s largest and most comprehensive four year undergraduate award offered to 36 Canadian scholars this year based on character, service and the promise of leadership.
Fitzgerald is considering Waterloo University, University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia to study physics or astrophysics.
Regier is looking at Western University and Queens University among other schools with plans to study business.
