The Perth East Recreation & Community Services Department announced today that due to the heat warning they would be opening the Perth East Recreation Complex as a cooling centre.
The warning, which indicates the humidex value is expected to reach 40 degrees for the next 3 days.
The PERC will be open August 11th, 12th and 13th as a cooling centre from 8am until 4:30pm.
It is located at 40 Temperance Street in Milverton.
Members are permitted to cool down in the arena entrance. Pets are permitted but must be leashed and under the care and control of the owner.
Masks must be worn at all time. Screening and contact tracing will be required.
